Merge Records have a slew of Record Store Day releases planned. Translation: get your butt down to your local brick and mortar shop on April 21 to check out exclusives from Arcade Fire, M. Ward, Destroyer and more. Check out our roundup below.
Arcade Fire is getting the remix treatment. Damian Taylor has provided his spin on The Suburbs tracks, “Sprawl II” and “Ready to Start”—previously only available as part of the album’s deluxe version.
Hallmark Destroyer album Destroyer’s Rubies is getting the vinyl treatment for the first time ever. The double album will be pressed on red vinyl (naturally) and include a download version.
Since Record Store day comes a mere two weeks after the release of A Wasteland Companion, M.Ward is offering up a 7-inch single of album cut “Primitive Girl” complete with rare b-side, “Roll Over Beethoven” and original song “The Twist.”
Richard Buckner also has a 7-inch, his featuring new songs, “Willow” and “Lost,” plus a cover of The Cars’ “Candy-O.”
