Arcade Fire Share Documentary on Their David Bowie Second Line Parade in New Orleans
Watch Win Butler, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Thousands of Bowie Fans Honor the Legend
Feb 11, 2016 Arcade Fire
Last month Arcade Fire teamed up with The Preservation Hall Jazz Band to hold a second line parade in New Orleans in honor of David Bowie, who passed away in January. Now a brief documentary on the parade has been released. It shows Arcade Fire’s Win Butler and Régine Chassagne preparing for the parade, along with footage of all the Bowie fans who came out to honor the legend and Butler leading a cover of Bowie’s “Heroes.” Watch it below.
In case you missed our posts about the parade last month, our writer Zach Hollwedel, a New Orleans resident, was on hand to cover the parade for Under the Radar. Check out his write up on the parade here and check out a full gallery of his photos here.
