Arcade Fire are releasing a new album, Everything Now, on July 28 via their new label Columbia. They have previously shared a video for the album’s title track, “Everything Now,” and announced a tour. Now the band has shared a teaser for another song that will likely appear on the record, “Creature Comfort,” which they have been playing live lately. The teaser video is a funny and colorful ad for a fake cereal that “contains methylphendiate” (aka Ritalin) and is “100% marshmallows” and “100% fun.” Although a warning points out that “the marshmallows in Creature Comfort cereal are NOT approved for consumption in the United States and Canada!” The tagline for the cereal is “Creature Comfort, Make It Painless!” Watch the video below.

Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and Pulp’s Steve Mackey produced Everything Now with the band, with co-production by Markus Dravus. The album was recorded in three different countries: at Boombox Studios in New Orleans, Sonovox Studios in Montreal, and Gang Recording Studio in Paris. It will be released on CD, cassette, and heavyweight black vinyl LP, as well as digitally. The vinyl version “will feature 20 different artwork variants, each bearing the album title in one of 20 different languages.”

In January Arcade Fire released a brand new song, “I Give You Power,” that featured the guest vocals of soul legend and civil rights activist Mavis Staples. Its release the day before President Donald Trump’s inauguration was probably no accident, especially as all proceeds from the song are being donated to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The tracklist for the album hasn’t been released yet, so there’s no word on whether or not “I Give You Power” is on the album. The band’s last full-length was 2013’s Reflektor.
