Artists Submit Original Artwork for Fundraiser

Taking an approach to fundraising that other radio outlets could certainly learn from, Australian station FBi Radio has launched an unique call for monetary support by launching “Brush With Fame,” a special auction of drawings, sketches, and doodles by some of the industry’s leading musical talent. Among those participating in the auction are St. Vincent, Vampire Weekend, Animal Collective, Tame Impala, Florence and the Machine, The xx, Disclosure, Iggy and the Stooges, Dirty Projects, Foals, Moby, Divine Fits, Frightened Rabbit, Girl Talk, Purity Ring, Sleigh Bells, Jens Lekman, Willis Earl Beal, Jessie Ware, Local Natives, Of Montreal, Perfume Genius, and many others.
With each each piece starting at around $45, the auction will run through the end of the day today at 9 p.m. EST. Check out the full list of artwork here, with some selections also available below.
