Avalanches Collaborate With Rapper Danny Brown
We’re Gonna Pretend This Means Album #2 is on the Way
Mar 19, 2012
The Avalanches
Clearly in the progress of building the Chinese Democracy of sample-based rock, today more information surfaced about Avalanches’ plans for album number two. Yes, it exists (or so we’re told). And yes, it includes a series of collaborations, including Detroit-based rapper Danny Brown. “I did a new song on the album. It’s called ‘Frank Sinatra’,” Brown told Pitchfork. “I knew of them, but I can’t say I was that deep into their music. But I went back and studied it, and it’s just amazing. I am ecstatic about that shit.”
The collaboration took place over e-mail, so sorry to day Brown didn’t include any information on the location of The Avalanches’ fortress of solicitude, or you know, when we might get to actual hear the track.
