U.K. dance mongers Basement Jaxx have announced the dates of their first North American tour since October 2006. The electronic duo’s five-day party will kick off October 30th in San Francisco and end November 7th in NYC. The British DJs will be playing in support of their forthcoming fourth release Scars, which hits the U.S. October 6th via Ultra/XL (September 21 on XL in the UK). They promise to “get back to basics” on this outing and ditch the expensive Circus de Soleil-like antics of the past. No word yet on whether we can expect some surprise guests on this recession-proof jaunt but here’s hoping. The U.S. tour is preceeded by some European dates. Let the booty shaking commence!
