Bat For Lashes
Next month Speedy Wunderground will release Zendooni: Funk, Psychedelia and Pop from the Iranian Pre-Revolution Generation, a new compilation celebrating a bygone era Iranian pop music. Coming out July 1, the collection features a collaborative cover of Amir Rassaei’s “Aroos Khanom” by Bat for Lashes’ Natasha Khan and the London-based band TOY. Retitled “The Bride,” the song was recorded in just five hours, and will get its own limited 7’’ release.
