Baltimore duo Beach House (Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally) released a new album, 7 (titled as such because it’s their seventh album), back in May 2018 via Sub Pop. It was our Album of the Week and one of our Top 100 Albums of 2018. Now they have announced some more tour dates for August and have also released a concert film, Live at Kings Theatre, presented by Pitchfork and filmed at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on August 23, 2018. Watch it below, followed by the tour dates (which go on sale to the general public this Friday).

Read our exclusive 2018 interview with Beach House on 7.

Previously Beach House shared the album’s “Lemon Glow” (which was one of our Songs of the Week) and “Dive” (which was also one of our Songs of the Week), as well as a video for “Dive.” (They also released a lengthy statement about the album.) Then they shared the album’s third single, “Dark Spring,” via a visually arresting video for the song. “Dark Spring” was our #1 Song of the Week. Then they shared “Black Car,” which was also our #1 Song of the Week. The band also stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform “Drunk in LA.” Then they shared a video for “Black Car,” a video for “Drunk in LA” directed by Sonic Boom (aka Pete Kember, formerly of Spacemen 3), and a remix of “Black Car” by Sonic Boom. They also released the non-album track “Alien” (which was one of our Songs of the Week). Then they shared a video for “Pay No Mind.”

Beach House put out two albums in 2015: Depression Cherry and Thank Your Lucky Stars, both via Sub Pop. In 2017 they released a B-sides and rarities compilation, fittingly titled B-Sides and Rarities, also via Sub Pop.
