Beachwood Sparks Return With First New Album In 11 Years
The Tarnished Gold Out June 26
Apr 12, 2012 Beachwood Sparks
L.A. alt-country quartet Beachwood have announced the release of The Tarnished Gold, the group’s first full-length record since their 2001 sophomore LP Once We Were Trees. After calling it quits in 2003, the band reunited in 2008 for what was supposed to be a one-off performance to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its longtime label Sub Pop. After engaging in a number of additional live performances, the band eventually committed themselves to some actual studio time. You can listen to the resulting album’s first single “Forget the Song,” courtesy of the widget below. The Tarnished Gold is slated for release on June 26.
