Beck Shares New Track “Tarantula” (Feat. Feist), a Colourbox Cover
Music Inspired By the Film Roma Due Out February 8 via Sony Masterworks

Beck has shared a new track, “Tarantula,” which is a cover of a 1983 song by Colourbox (who were signed to 4AD) and features Feist, among others. The song is taken from the upcoming album Music Inspired By the Film Roma, which is due out February 8 via Sony Masterworks. Roma is the Alfonso Cuarón-directed black & white Spanish language film that yesterday was nominated for 10 Oscars (tying The Favourite for the most nominations this year). As its title suggests, Music Inspired By the Film Roma doesn’t feature songs included in the actual film, but is tracks inspired by it. The album also features Laura Marling, Patti Smith, El-P and Wilder Zoby, DJ Shadow, Ibeyi, UNKLE, Billie Eilish, and others. Check out Beck’s track below, followed by Colourbox’s original.
Beck’s last album, Colors, came out in October 2017 via Capitol. The “Tarantula” cover also features Jason Falkner, Ilan Rubin, and Alex Lilly, with strings arranged by David Richard Campbell and Beck. Beck produced the track, which was mixed by Tom Elmhirst.
