Last night the 57th Grammy Awards took place, with Beck taking the top honor of Album of the Year with last year’s Morning Phase. Beck also took home the Grammy for Best Rock Album and Best Engineered Album in the Non-Classical category. Another notable win came from St. Vincent for Best Alternative Album (St. Vincent), who became the first female artist to win the category since Sinead O’Connor in 1991 when the award was also introduced.
Jack White took away two awards, one for for Best Rock Performance (“Lazaretto”) and one with Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package from Third Man and Revenant Records’ box set The Rise & Fall of Paramount Records, Volume Two (1928-1932).
Aphex Twin for Best Dance/Electronic Album (Syro), and “Weird Al” Yankovic for Best Comedy Album (Mandatory Fun).
