Beck’s Record Club Covers “Yanni: Live at the Acropolis”
This is in no Way Strange

Recently, we reported that Thurston Moore and Tortoise had stopped by Beck’s Record club, joining the eclectic troubadour in recording an album in a day. Today, that album was announced: Yanni: Live at the Acropolis.
Perhaps the weirdest thing about this is our surprise. Separately, Beck Thurston Moore, and Tortoise have enough of a cool factor to light a small city (or, for argument’s sake, the Acropolis). So why wouldn’t they combine their Wonder Twins-like power to elevate Yanni to the level of hipster kitsch? Umm…duh.
Here’s the first video of the series, “Santorini.” Brace yourselves, they’ll be here all summer.
