Beirut Announces New Album
Untitled Album Set for This Summer

Zach Condon’s been off the map for awhile now, but the Beirut leadman is coming back strong. In addition to a contribution to the Red Hot +Rio 2 compilation, the bandleader is also prepping a full-length, his first since 2007’s The Flying Club Cup. So far details on the album are scarce as it’s still untitled and set to come out “this summer.” But Condon recently told HitFlix, “I write sad songs when it’s nice outside. I write warm and happy songs when I’m up to my neck in snow for three months.” Since the album was penned in upstate New York in the dead of winter, expect a few smiles.
