Last month Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard announced that he would be releasing Former Lives, his debut solo album.

This morning Gibbard has provided the cover art for the new LP, which you can view to the side. Gibbard is scheduled to embark on a short North American tour this fall, with the majority of dates set around November. Culling both old and new material Former Lives arrives Oct. 16 via Barsuk.
