It’s no surprise that Best Coast and Wavves have joined together their sun-kissed noise-pop forces for a co-headlining tour this winter—just their monikers alone insist that the groups were birthed at the same beachside barbeque. But just in case you can’t get enough fuzzy surf melodies and overall cutesy-ness (we’re looking at you and your cat, Bethany Cosentino) live, these indie SoCal staples created Summer Is Forever, a limited edition split 7” featuring “When You Wake Up” by Best Coast and Wavves’ “Stained Glass (Won’t You Let Me Into Yr Heart).” Although Mexican Summer is releasing the 7”, the record is so exclusive that only ticket holders for the co-headlining tour, which gets a warm and sunny start in San Diego on January 21st, will be able to get their hands on it. And with an iTunes sampler of separate tunes from Best Coast, Wavves, and tour mates No Joy set to release on January 11th, it really does seem like summer can last forever.

Cosentino and Co. will also light up the small screen tonight at 12:30 a.m. on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon; this performance marks Best Coast’s late-night television debut.
