Björk Shares Cover Art and Announces Release Date for New Album

Utopia Due Out November 24 via One Little Indian

Oct 31, 2017 Björk

Björk has previously announced that she was releasing a new album, Utopia, in November, but the exact release date was TBA. Now she has announced the release date and shared the album’s cover art, by artist Jesse Kanda.

Utopia is due out November 24 via One Little Indian. Above is the album cover.

Previously Björk shared the album’s first single, “The Gate,” as well as an enchanting video for the song, in which Björk appears to be involved in some sort of alien mating ritual.

Björk previously had this to say about the song: “‘The Gate’ is essentially a love song, but I say ‘love’ in a more transcendent way. Vulnicura was about a very personal loss, and I think this new album is about a love that’s even greater. It’s about rediscovering love - but in a spiritual way, for lack of a better word.”

Björk’s last album, Vulnicura, came out in 2015. “The Gate” will be released on single-sided 12-inch vinyl on September 22 via One Little Indian.
