Bleached Share Video for New Song “Kiss You Goodbye”

Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough? Due Out July 12 via Dead Oceans

Sister duo Bleached (Jessie and Jennifer Clavin) are releasing a new album, Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough?, on July 12 via Dead Oceans. Now they have shared another song from the album, “Kiss You Goodbye,” via a video for the track that features the band performing the song at a 1970s pool party. Watch it below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates.

Sister duo Giraffe Studios directed the video. Co-director Juliana Giraffe had this to say about the video in a press release: “We all saw ‘Kiss you Goodbye’ as an opportunity to pay homage to our roots in the valley. Not only are we all sibling sisters coming together, but also all San Fernando valley girls at heart. What better way to celebrate that than a quick shout out to backyard bbqs, body builders and a little boogie nights on a Sunday in beautiful Woodland Hills.”

Previously Bleached shared a video for the album’s first single, “Hard to Kill” (which was one of our Songs of the Week).

The songs were written in Los Angeles and Nashville. Jessie did most of the instrumentation and Jennifer mainly did the lyrics and melodies. Shane Stoneback (Vampire Weekend, Sleigh Bells) produced the album. The album is the follow-up to 2016’s Welcome the Worms and 2017’s Can You Deal? EP. A press release says Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough? is the band’s “first LP written from a place of sobriety.”

Jennifer had this to say about the album in a previous press release: “Writing these songs while sober became somewhat of a spiritual experience. I had to let go, trust the process, and allow an energy beyond my control to be present.”
