Blood Orange (aka Dev Hynes) has shared a brand new song, “Sandra’s Smile.” The song is inspired by Sandra Bland, the woman who died in police custody in Texas back in July. She was founded hanged in her jail cell, but some have questioned the events of her death. The lyrics also reference Sybrina Fulton, the mother of shooting victim Trayvon Martin. Hynes also posted a picture of a notebook containing the lyrics (see below). He has also shared a video for the song, which can be watched below. The black & white clip features Hynes and some street dancers.
