Bob Dylan is releasing the latest album in his Bootleg Series, entitled Travelin’ Thru, 1967 - 1969: The Bootleg Series Vol. 15, on November 1 via Columbia/Legacy. It’s credited to “Bob Dylan (featuring Johnny Cash)” as it centers on previously unreleased recordings featuring the late legendary country musician. Now one of those tracks, “Wanted Man (Take 1),” has been shared via a video for the track. Watch it below.
“Wanted Man” is taken from an unreleased session recorded in 1969, with Carl Perkins on guitar. Dylan wrote the song, but Cash performed it on his 1969 live album At San Quentin, which was recorded on February 24, 1969, just six days after the February 18 session that produced the version of “Wanted Man” released today. Cash later did a studio version of the song. This recording starts with some chatter from Cash’s wife June Carter Cash.
