Following a short solo tour in the Spring to support his most recent effort, Life and Times. Bob Mould has announced that he will return to the road in October to continue promoting the album, this time with full band in tow. “My audience is older and I think it takes them more time to find out about stuff,” Mould shared with Under the Radar back in April, when the album was released. “They have kids and lives and jobs and they’re not on the internet all day, so I think letting the record have three or four months to get noticed, I think will help the tour, being later in the year.” Life and Times, one of Mould’s strongest albums in years, finds the songwriter returning to what he calls the “compositional space” of his own classic Workbook (Life and Times‘s release falls exactly 20 years after Workbook‘s).

Mould, whose solo dates found him revisiting much of Workbook‘s soul-baring material, including the emotional fierce “Poison Years,” has been known to pepper his sets with material both new and old, spanning his career as a solo artist as well as with seminal bands Husker Du and Sugar, so expect a varied set list. No word on what musicians will be backing him this time around. Dates below.
