Justin Vernon said earlier in the year that there weren’t any plans for a new Bon Iver album or tour. Since then the band has headlined the Eaux Claires festival, in which they played some new songs, and now the band has announced some 2016 shows. Unless you’re in Asia or are such a Bon Iver super-fan that you’d fly to Asia to see them, the dates aren’t much use to you as they are playing Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines, and Singapore. Bon Iver’s Twitter account, when announcing the dates last night, explained they were playing Asia “because we’ve never been.” But hopefully this is a sign that Vernon is open to more Bon Iver shows and even an album.
