Brian Jonestown Massacre have announced The Singles Collection (1992-2011), due out August 30 via A Records/Redeye. The comp features remastered singles previously unavailable on CD. Singles include vinyl releases from this year and songs recorded in 1993 under the band’s alter ego Acid. Check out the tracklisting below, with bold tracks noting the singles that have never been released on CD.

The band recently recorded a new album in Germany, which is where frontman Anton Newcombe currently lives. That album will be released in 2012. Brian Jonestown Massacre’s song “Straight Up and Down” (which is not included on this comp, but was on their 1996 album, Take It From the Man!) was chosen by Martin Scorsese to be the theme to HBO’s acclaimed hit series Boardwalk Empire.
