Bruno Mars Announces New Album, Shares Video for New Song “24K Magic”
24K Magic Due Out November 18 via Atlantic
Oct 07, 2016 Bruno Mars
It’s hard to feel sorry for Mark Ronson, with all the success he’s had, but I get the impression that a lot of people think that his massive hit “Uptown Funk” is a Bruno Mars song, rather than a Ronson song featuring Mars. The song was released in late 2014 but ended up becoming 2015’s biggest song. Mars hasn’t released an album since 2012’s Unorthodox Jukebox, but he’s just announced a new one, with hopes no doubt to capitalize on the success of “Uptown Funk.” His new album is entitled 24K Magic and is due out November 18 via Atlantic. He has shared a video for the album’s first single, title track “24K Magic,” which you can watch below.
A press release points out that the title is pronounced “twenty-four karat magic.” Mars and Cameron Duddy (a longtime collaborator) directed the “24K Magic” video, which was shot in Las Vegas. Next Saturday, October 15th, Mars will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Above is the album cover..
