
Cassius Announce New Album, Share Cat Power and Pharrell Williams Collaboration

Today French house band Cassius have announced their first album in ten years, Ibifornia, which will be released on June 24th via Interscope / Polydor Records. They’ve also shared “Go Up,” a track featuring Cat Power and Pharrell Williams. Other tracks on the album include “The Missing” (featuring OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder & Jaw) and “Action” featuring Mike D.
Ibifornia is an imaginary utopia, which the bands says is, “inside every one of us.” The album features a conglomeration disco, funk, house, soul, afrobeat, synth-pop, psychedelia, hip-hop and gospel. “Go Up” is a house anthem that quickly hypnotizes the listener and marks a return for Williams, who worked with the band on the 2006 track “Eye Water.” You can listen to “Go Up” and find the tracklist below:
