Chairlift Announce Headlining Fall Tour, Support Shows With Phoenix
Also Performing with TV on the Radio At Chicago's Double Door
Jul 20, 2009 Phoenix
The Brooklyn synth pop trio Chairlift are testing their road legs after signing to Columbia this past spring. The Chairlift headlining tour (with spazzy U.K. popsters Micachu & The Shapes) commences September 5, at NYC’s Bower Ballroom, and will wrap up at London Brixton Academy at the tailend of the Phoenix support segment. Before that, the group have several U.S. and European festival dates, including slots at All Points West, Lollapalooza, Latitude and Way Out West. Then the group will perform with TV on the Radio at Chicago’s The Double Door. Also, if you didn’t check it already, the threesome recently made their network television debut June 26th, on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. See Caroline Polachek belt out hit single “Bruisies” here. If the live news weren’t enough, at this year’s Bonnaroo Polachek covered ‘Til Tuesday’s New Wave anthem “Voices Carry” with fellow Brooklynites MGMT. The vast list of concerts dates are below.
