Co-Creator Jamie Hewlett Confirms Return of Gorillaz
Working On Follow-Up to The Fall
Feb 02, 2015 Gorillaz
After enduring the usual non-committal statements from over the years from Blur’s Damon Albarn about the future of his animated musical side-project Gorillaz, co-creator Jamie Hewlett finally confirmed that he and Albarn are working on a follow-up to the band’s 2011 album The Fall. Over the weekend Hewlett posted new images of the band’s fictional band memembers Noodle and Murdoc to his Instagram account. Drawing plenty of questions from eager fans of whether something new was on the horizon, Hewlett caved and wrote plainly, “Yes Gorillaz Returns.”
Albarn of course has been keeping himself busy since the band’s last album, releasing his own solo debut, Everyday Robots last year.
