A documentary following the formation and output of Conor Oberst and his Mystic Valley Band is scheduled to be released on DVD on May 15. Titled One of My Kind: The Story of the Mystic Valley Band, the film was originally released for free in 2009, but has recently undergone a new edit and will be accompanied by a compilation of B-sides in both CD and vinyl formats. The documentary was developed by Philip Schaffart, who began videographing Oberst during his initial “solo” effort in Tepoztlán, Mexico alongside what would become the MVB and continued to do so through their subsequent albums. You can check out a trailer for movie, as well as the full tracklist for the rarities, below.
