Conor Oberst‘s former punk band Desaparecidos have announced that they will reunite for a special hometown performance in Omaha, Nebraska for the Maha Music Festival this August. Breaking up after releasing just one album, 2002’s Read Music/Speak Spanish, the band will make their first live appearance since a one-off benefit show at Omaha’s Concert for Equality in 2010. The Maha Festival is scheduled to take place Aug. 11, with additional performances by the likes of Garbage, Josh Rouse, and others. General admission and VIP passes are available to purchase at the event’s official website.
