Converse Announces Next Three Artist. One Song Collaboration with Mark Foster, Kimbra, and A-Trak
New Song "Warrior" Out April 5
Mar 27, 2012 A-Trak
After bringing together an eclectic mix of musical talent in the form of Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, and André 3000, Converse has once again tapped three creative musical artists for a special one-off track. This time around the selected collaborators chosen are Mark Foster of Foster the People, Kimbra, and DJ A-Trak.
The trio’s new track “Warrior,” and its corresponding music video will see release as a free download on April 5, and will coincide with the launch of the shoe company’s new footwear collection of seasonal colors this spring. ”I had such a good time diving into the creative process working with two incredible artists to create a sound that is uniquely our own,” says Foster in a statement, who recorded with Kimbra and A-Trak at Converse Rubber Tracks studios in Brooklyn. “This project has given me a new found appreciation for the power of collaboration.”
