Former Sleater-Kinney frontwoman Corin Tucker has announced her return with a new album scheduled for release on Sept. 18. Entitled Kill My Blues and backed by Tucker’s namesake ensemble, the new LP will be the follow-up to the group’s critically acclaimed 2010 debut 1,000 Years. According to Tucker the new album says the writing and recording was a group effort, that “after the past two years playing together, traveling and making music, I think we’re more comfortable. We collaborated on every song on this record and no one was shy about their ideas. I think you can hear that sense of joy and abandon in the songs.”
