Cult Classic “Heathers” to be Revived as a Television Show

As reported today by Variety, 1989 cult classic Heathers, staring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, will be revived as a television show for Fox. Holding the rights to the project, Lakeshore Entertainment will produce in association with Sony Pictures.
Helming the project is Mark Rizzo, with additional help from Sex and the City scribe Jenny Bricks. While the project will be updated, classic characters, including Ryder’s Veronica Sawyer and Slater’s J.D. will still play a role.
