Cymbals Eat Guitars
Cymbals Eat Guitars have announced a new album and shared its first single. Pretty Years is due out September 16 via Sinderlyn. Below is its first single, “Wish,” which sounds a bit more ambitious than their previous work. Below also is the tracklist and cover art.
This is the band’s fourth album. Cymbals Eat Guitars features singer/guitarist Joseph D’Agostino, bassist Matthew Whipple, keyboardist Brian Hamilton, and drummer Andy Dole. Whipple had this to say about the album in a press release: “We wanted to make a more energetic record. I personally looked to artists like Springsteen, ‘70s Bowie, The Smiths, The Cure, Neil Young as inspiration for-not really for sound as much as for that dichotomy of bands who were entertainers still making, at times, weird dark music and writing songs that seem totally over-the-top by today’s rock band standards.”
Pretty Years Tracklist:
01. Finally
02. Have a Heart
03. Wish
04. Close
05. Dancing Days
06. 4th of July, Philadelphia (SANDY)
07. Beam
08. Mallwalking
09. WELL
10. Shrine
