Daft Punk Gets a Racecar, Remixes Themselves
World Domination Surely Not Far Behind
May 23, 2013 Daft Punk
It is impossible these days to go for more than a few hours without talking about Daft Punk. We for one welcome our robotic overlords and their addictive new album Random Access Memories. In addition to taking over both airwaves and brainwaves, the Frenchmen will now be represented on the racetrack. Seriously, the band just got their own race car.
Question: What kind of world are we living in?
Answer: the best kind of world of all.
Today, the Lotus F1 Team has revealed the design for their new car, which features Daft Punk’s logo, which is sure to be a black and white blur when the car enters the Grand Prix de Monaco. And yes, this is officially endorsed by the band. Check out the mysterious ad clip below.
In other Daft Punk news, Spin reports that the digital twosome is planning to self-remix their new album, starting with “Get Lucky” at the end of June. That should be just enough time to get the original version of the single out of your head. Oh, who are we kidding? You’ll NEVER get that song out of your head.
