Daft Punk
As hinted at last week, Daft Punk will release a Random Access Memories box set just in time for Christmas. The collectors’ item costs $275 dollars and is available via the band’s website.
And what will the steep price tag get you? Only the French robot musicians’ world as we know it. In addition to the album on a 2xLP set, you’ll get a 56-page hardback book of photos from the recording and video sessions, “two sets of Robot helmet design schematics,” “full body Robot design schematic posters,” a digital version of the album via a set of silver and gold USB Drives, and a slew of extras, including: the full-length “Lose Yourself to Dance” video, the Random Access Memories television ads, and an extended version of their Coachella promo with Pharrell and Nile Rodgers.
