Depeche Mode Confirm More Album Details, Are Releasing a New Song This Friday
Spirit Due Out March 17 on Columbia
Feb 01, 2017 Depeche Mode
Back in October Depeche Mode announced that they would be releasing a new album entitled Spirit this spring via Columbia. Beyond the fact that Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford produced it, at the time no other info on the album (such as a tracklist, cover art, exact release date, first single, etc.) was given. Now the release date has been announced (March 17) and the cover art has been revealed. Also the British trio have announced that the album’s first single, “Where’s the Revolution,” will be released this Friday, February 3. They have also revealed the cover art for the single. Check out the album and single artwork below, as well as their previously announced tour dates.
Spirit is the follow-up to 2013’s Delta Machine. “The Global Spirit Tour” is a European stadium tour this summer, with North and South American tour dates promised for later in 2017. In partnership with the Swiss watchmaker Hublot, on the tour Depeche Mode will be raising money and awareness for Charity: Water, whose mission is to provide safe drinking water to everyone in the world.
