Dirty Projectors have announced a new album and shared a new song, “Up in Hudson.” The band’s new album is a self-titled release and is due out February 24 via Domino. “Up in Hudson” is nearly eight minutes long and is described in a press release as “an elegy to the Obama years, to a generation of indie rock, and to a relationship.” Listen to it below, followed by the album’s artwork. No tracklist has been shared as of yet.
It’s been five years since Dirty Projectors’ last album, 2012’s Swing Lo Magellan, but last fall we were treated a video for a brand new Dirty Projectors song, “Keep Your Name,” and earlier this month there was a video for another brand new song, “Little Bubble.” Both are expected to be featured on Dirty Projectors.
