Dirty Projectors have announced the premiere of their short film, Hi Custodian. The film will be shown at Landmark Sunshine Cinema in NYC on September 6 and online through Pitchfork.TV x Youtube on September 7. The film features music from July release Swing Lo Magellan and members of Dirty Projects. Directed by David Longstreth, check out the trailer below.
According to a press release, Hi Custodian is “inspired by music films like Kanye West’s Runaway and Prince’s Purple Rain, it follows band members as they inhabit a variety of characters in a surreal narrative about spiritual death and rebirth.”
Also, this Friday, August 17 NPR will be streaming a live videocast of the Dirty Projectors with Wye Oak from the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC here.
