Dive Beneath the Surface in The Walkmen’s “Orange Sunday”
Brand Premieres New Video, Download
Feb 28, 2011
The Walkmen
The Walkmen do some deep-sea diving in their newest video “Orange Sunday,” a B-side off Lisbon that was premiered today on the band’s website. The backdrop of the ocean and its enigmatic wonders beneath the waves provide the perfect color scheme for the song’s blues-y yet tropical-tinged feel. It’s so fitting that we’re thinking the track should’ve been titled “Blue Sunday”—but let’s face it, Monday is a much more “blue” day of the week (thanks for that, New Order).
Check out The Walkmen’s video for “Orange Sunday” below. The indie rock outfit is also offering a free download of the gently unfolding track at their website—all you need is an email address and you’re set.
