Django Django, one of the UK’s rising musical acts, has announced that they will release their self-titled debut in the U.S. this coming Sept. 25 on Ribbon Music, with an exclusive digital release on iTunes on Aug. 14. Having already impressed audiences earlier this year at SXSW (including at one of Under the Radar‘s daytime showcases), the Scottish four-piece will engage in a brief North American tour in support of the record’s stateside arrival.
In addition to the approaching tour the band has also released a music video for their album’s lead cut “Hail Bop.” Directed by Daniel Swan, the clip features singer/guitarist Vinnie Neff a giant, luminating ball to some unseen peak in a computer-generated environment. In an interview with The Fader, drummer and producer David Maclean says, “We wanted the video to be abstract. The only clue we gave directors is that the song is about something that passes by once in a lifetime like a comet. Before you know it’s off again into deep space never to be seen again.” Click below the listed tour dates to watch.
