Do Phoenix’s Social Media Updates Hint at New Music?
Are the Band About to Announce the Follow-up to 2013's Bankrupt!?

We haven’t heard much from France’s Phoenix since the release of their last album, 2013’s Bankrupt! Last year they did team up with Bill Murray to cover The Beach Boys’ “Alone on Christmas Day” for the actor/comedian’s Netflix Christmas special, A Very Murray Christmas, which was directed by Sofia Coppola (wife of Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars). But there’s been no word of a new album. Now, however, the band has updated the profile photos on their social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram) to the same CMYK image, while their website has also been updated with a different image (see above). Could this mean a new album is about to be announced? Or perhaps since the images seem to relate to TV production, maybe it’s simply a new DVD collecting their music videos? We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, below are some of their previous videos.
