The first trailer for season 12 of Doctor Who has been shared. This is the second season where British actress Jodie Whittaker appears as the first ever female Doctor. The show returns to BBC America with a special episode on New Year’s Day. Watch the action-packed trailer below.
Along with Whittaker, also returning are The Doctor’s companions: Tosin Cole as Ryan, Mandip Gill as Yasmin, and Bradley Walsh as Graham, who are all in the trailer. Chris Chibnall remains the showrunner. Among the highlights of the trailer are the return of iconic foes The Cybermen and The Judoon.
Whittaker also recently covered Coldplay‘s hit “Yellow” with members of the band. It was recorded for Got It Covered, a new British charity album that benefits Children in Need.
