Doctor Who Stars Land in New York April 12th-14th to Launch New Season

On April 12th Matt Smith (The Doctor) and Karen Gillan (companion Amy Pond) will land in New York for two nights of interviews and events in support of the fifth season of BBC’s long-running series, Doctor Who.

While the events of April 12th are limited to BAFTA and Paley Center members, April 14th’s open to the public events include an exclusive sneak peak of the first episode (airing April 17th on BBC America) and a Q&A with the stars and series head writer/executive producer Steven Moffat.

Monday, April 12 6:30 PM: “Who’s Next? The New Era of Doctor Who,” a Paley Center for Media and BAFTA East Coast member screening and discussion with actors Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat - moderated by Entertainment Weekly’s senior writer Clark Collis. The event will be held at the Paley Center for Media in New York and is open to Paley Center and BAFTA members.

April 14 7:00 PM: A special premiere screening event of the new Doctor Who series, immediately followed by a Q&A with actors Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat at the Village East Cinema. The Q&A session will be moderated by USA Today’s Pop Culture Columnist Whitney Matheson, author of the Pop Candy blog. The event is open to the public and seating is on a first-come, first served basis on the day of the event.
