Duran Duran have announced a new album that features Janelle Monáe and Lindsay Lohan and the production work of Mark Ronson and Nile Rodgers. The ‘80s New Wave icons will be releasing Paper Gods on September 18 in the U.S. (September 11 in the rest of the world) via Warner Bros. The first single, “Pressure Off,” which features Monáe, will be released this week.

Duran Duran (Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, and Roger Taylor) recorded the album in London with producers Mark Ronson, Nile Rodgers, Josh Blair, and Mr Hudson. Mark ‘Spike’ Stent mixed Paper Gods. As well as Monáe and Lohan, the album also features guest appearances from former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante, Canadian singer Kiesza, Mr Hudson, and violinist Davidé Rossi. Los Angeles-based artist Alex Israel created the album cover art, which you can view below.

“It really goes back to that strange early Duran mix: the hard-edged pop, coexisting with this dark, weird, experimental side,” John Taylor said of the album in a press release.
