Elbow and John Grant Team Up for the “Kindling (Fickle Flame)” Video
Little Fictions Out Now via Concord
Sep 18, 2017
Elbow
Elbow released a new album (their seventh), Little Fictions, back in February via Concord. A couple of weeks ago the band shared a new version of Little Fictions’ closing track “Kindling.” Renamed “Kindling (Fickle Flame),” this version is redone as a duet with John Grant (it was one of our Songs of the Week). Not coincidentally, the band also at the same time announced some 2018 European dates with Grant opening. Now a video for the new version has been shared. The black & white clip features Elbow frontman Guy Garvey performing the song in one studio, while Grant sings it in another studio (likely in a whole other country).Watch it below, followed by Elbow’s upcoming tour dates.

Elbow’s last album was 2014’s The Take Off and Landing of Everything, although in 2015 frontman Guy Garvey released his debut solo album, Courting the Squall.

Grant’s last album, Grey Tickles, Black Pressure, came out in 2015.
