No stranger to having their music used for visually cinematic purposes (as evident here and every episode of Friday Night Lights) Austin-based rock instrumentalists Explosions in the Sky have revealed in a new interview that they have been tapped to score an upcoming comedy by director David Gordon Green called Prince Avalanche. Starring Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch, the flick is an American remake of the Icelandic film Either Way, which chronicles two highway maintenance men as they build a friendship working in a barren environment. With Texas standing in to replace the empty space of the foreign original, Explosions in the Sky seem like the perfect choice. The band is currently on tour supporting their most recent album Take Care, Take Care, Take Care, the dates of which you can view below. (via CoS)
