Father John Misty
Father John Misty (real name Josh Tillman) has announced a slew of new North American tour dates. They take up all of April (and are followed by some previously announced May European dates). Tickets go on sale next Friday, January 15 at 12 PM local time, but Pandora listeners get early access starting next Monday, January 11 at 12 PM local time. Next Thursday, January 14, Father John Misty will perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Back on Tuesday Father John Misty shared some jokey rejected promos for his Pandora Internet radio station and apparently they were official after all, as Pandora has now shared a new Father John Misty mixtape in honor of the tour dates that features the promos, some songs selected by Tillman, and eight Father John Misty acoustic live tracks recorded live in London. Stream that here.
Father John Misty’s excellent sophomore album, I Love You, Honeybear, came out last February via Sub Pop and was Under the Radar’s #1 album of 2015. Also read our recent print article on Father John Misty and our recent bonus Q&A with Tillman (also read our 2012 interview with him).
