It’s been six long years since Leslie Feist‘s last album, 2011’s Metals, and she also hasn’t played any shows since 2014. Hopefully that means she’s been hard at work on an amazing new album and a Huffington Post article on Feist’s charity to send backpacks to HIV-positive children in Malawi seems to indicate that the follow-up to Metals is on the way as soon as April and that she will also be singing on the new Broken Social Scene album.
Buried in the article is this news: “Feist has been largely off the radar since the 2011 release of her award-winning album Metals and since the album’s subsequent tour came to a close the end of the following year. (Fans can expect her long-awaited follow-up in April as well as her vocals on the upcoming Broken Social Scene record.)”
Hopefully the album will be announced soon. In the meantime she is already confirmed to perform at the Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival in June, another indication there could be a new album on the way.
