Feist Shares Leonard Cohen Cover - “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye”
Leonard Cohen Tribute Concert Set for November 6 in Montreal
Nov 03, 2017 Feist
Legendary singer/songwriter/poet Leonard Cohen passed away last November, but a few weeks before his death he released his last album, his 14th, You Want It Darker, which was produced by his son Andy Cohen. Now Leslie Feist has shared a cover of Cohen’s “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye.” She originally performed it at this year’s Juno Awards. Feist is due to take part in the Cohen memorial tribute concert in Montreal on November 6, alongside Lana Del Rey, Elvis Costello, Sting, Phillip Glass, k.d. lang, Courtney Love, Seth Rogen, and others. Listen to the cover below.
Feist released a new album, Pleasure, back in April via Interscope. The album’s highlight might be “Century,” which climaxes with a spoken word section by Pulp frontman (and solo artist) Jarvis Cocker.

His death was actually a sad thing we had to come across last year. And it was so thoughtful her to be the part of his memorial. And I believe it is her who should be doing this as we have heard the song in her voice.
