Swedish sister alt-country/folk duo First Aid Kit recently shared a brand new song, “It’s a Shame,” as well as a video for the song inspired by the Gwyneth Paltrow romantic comedy from 1998, Sliding Doors. Now the band has announced a new album, Ruins (which features “It’s a Shame”), and shared another song from it “Postcard,” via a lyric video in which the lyrics appear on a postcard. Ruins is due out January 19, 2018 via Columbia. Below is the “Postcard” lyric video, followed by the album’s tracklist, the “It’s a Shame” video again, and the band’s upcoming tour dates. Above is the album’s cover art.

Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket, Laura Veirs) produced “It’s a Shame,” which was recorded in early 2017 in Portland, OR. Ruins is the follow-up to 2014’s acclaimed Stay Gold. Back in March First Aid Kit shared another new song, “You Are the Problem Here,” in honor of International Women’s Day.
