Flight of the Conchords’ Bret McKenzie Working On “Henson-y” Film Musical
Includes "Singing Dragons and Monsters"
Aug 09, 2013 Flight of the Conchords
Having already earned himself an Academy Award for his work on The Muppets, and providing even more songs for its upcoming sequel, Flight of Conchords’ Bret McKenzie revealed in a new interview that he’s currently working on his own musical film with Muppets co-writer and director James Bobin. Speaking with Collider McKenzie describes the developing work as a “fairy tale comedy musical ... with singing dragons and monsters and stuff. [It’s] live-action, so it would be a mixture of The Muppets andThe Princess Bride.” While he says that he doesn’t have a title for the project just yet he says “it’s definitely my favorite thing I’m working on at the moment.” Click here to watch the full interview.
